CIFATM training for UIC Kuwait

June 10, 2013 – Kuwait:

In line with the CMA’s requirement to enhance the knowledge and skills of financial market participants, the Union of Investment Companies (UIC) organized a three days training program on the Concepts and Application of Islamic Finance and Investments.

The main aim of the program was to examine how various Islamic toolkits – sale based, lease based and equity based instruments – are applied in the Islamic finance market. The delegates also analyzed the risk profiles of the different Islamic instruments and compared them to conventional products. In addition, current issues related different regulatory and Shariah views were also discussed to provide the delegates a comprehensive overview of the Islamic finance market practices globally.

The training was delivered in partnership with IIR Middle East and SHAPE® Knowledge Services Kuwait. The delegates will also complete the Certified Islamic Finance Analyst (CIFATM) qualification in conjunction with the training.
